LAWMATE TERMS OF SERVICE

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the LawMate application ("Application"). By using the Application, you acknowledge and accept all terms herein.

1. Operating Entity Information

(Public disclosure of operating entity is mandated under Decree No. 147/2024/ND-CP on Internet services management.)

2. Definition and Nature of Service

LawMate is an AI-assisted statutory search and query tool for Vietnamese law. Suggestions and responses may be automatically generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems.

LawMate is NOT a legal consulting service, attorney practice, or legal aid representation. The Application does not establish an attorney-client relationship.

LawMate is a privately developed and operated application. LawMate is NOT a government agency and is NOT affiliated with, does NOT represent, and is NOT authorized by any Vietnamese government body. The Application is not an official channel for publishing legal normative documents.

3. Service Model and Advertising

The Application is provided free of charge and displays advertisements to support infrastructure operations under Commercial Advertising Law No. 16/2012/QH13.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LawMate makes no absolute warranty regarding the error-free nature of AI-generated responses. Information provided serves as research reference only and shall not substitute professional legal advice from a licensed attorney or competent authority.

Documents in the Application are collected from the National Legal Normative Document Database of the Ministry of Justice (https://vbpl.vn). Users may verify the originals through official channels: the Official Gazette (https://congbao.chinhphu.vn) and the Ministry of Justice portal (https://moj.gov.vn).

(Liability disclaimers do not apply to damages caused by intentional fault or fraud under Civil Code 2015.)

5. Advertising Partners and Controls

5.1. Advertising Partners

We may use third-party ad services (e.g. Google AdMob) using cookies or device advertising IDs subject to their privacy policies.

5.2. Ad Display Principles

Ads are presented distinctly from legal research content and strictly comply with Vietnamese advertising laws.

5.3. User Controls

Users may reset or limit personalized advertising identifiers via device settings (Android/iOS).

6. Intellectual Property Rights

Source code, UI design, logos, and trademarks belong exclusively to LawMate. Statutory codes and public domain laws are public assets not subject to copyright.

7. User Responsibilities & Prohibited Conduct

Users commit to lawful use. Prohibited acts include distributing false or anti-state information under Cybersecurity Law No. 24/2018/QH14 and Decree 147/2024/ND-CP or attempting unauthorized system interference.

8. Amendments and Termination

We reserve the right to amend terms or terminate service when necessary. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Disputes shall be resolved through negotiation or by competent courts in Vietnam.
